Hey guys newfag here! You guys are crazy talented and I wanted to get some critique on my self portrait, I'm an art major and I'd super appreciate it!
bait thread

Kill yourself.
This isn't bait but alright then.
I don't know how /ic/horas rolls with this, I've never seen this board before. Post your favorites and your opinions anyways.
Basically I'm just being inconsiderate, making a thread asking for tattoo ideas.
I'm a tree-hugger hidden hipster, so once you finish hating me you can contribute. Or just call me a fag and leave, take your pick.
>>2440021
stop killing good threads with your useless shit, lurk before posting on a new board
that should be a general rule for all boards
>>2440023
I do lurk, I'm not new here. I am an artist and I can't think of any other boards that would have good taste with this stuff
A bit offtopic, but does anyone know of any artists similar to Yusuke Kozaki? I really love the realistic animu look and am interested in finding more styles like his.
Who is this semen demon?
>>2439206
redjuice has a similar artstyle
Whomever did the Capcom vs SNK 2 SNK style art was fantastic.
How long have you been really drawing? As in taking art more seriously than art class in school.
About 17 years I think
>>2439036
Took my first proper art class when I was 14. Gesture drawing. Didn't know shit about the subject, and I was the only one there who wasn't old enough to have grandchildren.
Started preliminary artscool at 18.
So there somewear I suppose. Can't pinpoint the exact moment.
I would say about 1 year. I've always been drawing before but only last year did I actually start to actively study and focus on improving. It's still just a hobby for me tho, I needed a replacement for piano because I moved and no longer have easy access to a piano every day (makes me extremely sad since I have put 15 years into that).
On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate a job as an american animator in terms of:
-how stressful is the work environment
-pay
-job security
-dental plans

goes something like this, not really but I just wanted to show this vid.

How do you redesign a classic costume?
not like that
just like that
>>2439302
By making it exactly the same but adding weird sphincter eyes.
When writing stories I'm okay with writing characters and I can be very descriptive with setting, but I really struggle deciding on a setting when the story is grounded in the real world. I'm currently writing a script for a comic taking place in the United States about 20 years after the beginning of the Vietnam war. Drawing a lot of influences from things like Hotline Miami and Mirror's Edge, in terms of plot and aesthetic(leaning more toward, with the free running of ME). Somewhere with moderately tall buildings and a lot of tight spaces. I also wanted to blend...

Do you faggots have your monitor calibrated ?
How does one calibrate a monitor properly ?
You use one of these.
I don't really see a point unless you're doing work that requires absolute color accuracy and have control of the output, in the case of print. Most good monitors already come decent out of the box.
I can't seem to find any information about precise "good" gamma

Post your current drawing here and give constructive critique to others!
Please make sure your posted image is clear, downsized to around 1000 pixels wide, rotated to the correct orientation, and that any unused space is cropped.
If you want critique on a drawing from the previous thread, you can delete it there and repost in this one.

I would like to know what these type of drawings are called. I'm really interested in them and I'm thinking of learning how to draw these type of drawings. Only problem is I don't know what they are called
