This is how I got into drawing. And I still do draw comics as a hobby. Do you like comics, do you draw them? If so would you be as kind to post some of your works?
>>2427586
I made a comic, I really need to keep working on it. I'll post a couple pages here but all of them can be found on Tapastic under "Crowface." It's a lot of fun but it takes quite a bit of time and effort.
Relatively new to Photoshop, but I managed to draw this neat little thing using a picture of my hands as a template
What do you guys think?
I guess this could double as a drawthread, so ask away I guess.

What does you're art schedule look like /ic/? How strict are you at keeping to it?
>>2457256
>What does you're art schedule
10 hours work days, 18 hours weekends
>how strict are you
Not at all.

Empty

Not very since i haven't drawn in 2 weeks
>procrastinate 24/7
What are some jobs you guys do to supplement art (if you're making money from art?)
I'm able to make a few hundred bucks from art each month doing it probably 20 hours a week. I've done the full-time hustle but it doesn't really do much to enhance my earnings from it; I just end up overwhelmed. I'd like to do something that's practical and a good use of time that also lets me draw and make the side money from that.
Good jobs/careers that still allow for art time?
>>2446686
Fapping, full time.
>>2446686
there really is none. and if you are serious about this /ic/ is the wrong place to ask.
if i was young enough i'd move back in with my parents. as is, i'm just hoping for a basic income to kick in sooner rather than later and save my life.
>>2446686
First off ask why you haven't achieved your goal.
Perhaps you are really fucking bad at getting people to remember your name (i.e. you can't network which is more important than your drawing skill) or maybe you need to consider different ways to make money from your art such as teaching or writing about art.
20 hours though only works out to ~2.7 hours every week though.
You're getting paid the right amount for how little work you're doing.

I literally just picked up this drawing. It was left on a seat in the train.
I can't tell if it's genius or a piece of garbage.

such meaning to the colors.
Looks like a Chunbum drawing
How could I replicate the "pale" red/pink blush used around the anus in pic related?
This technique has also been something ive seen used when painting nipples or blush. Can anyone help me?
>>2456454
it's just an airbrush tool. that's literally it.

Why don't you guys masturbate to real life porn?
What's wrong with you people?

Heres your reply.
I've never taken much of an interest in art, but this CD cover made me feel something, and I'd like to know more about:
The style
Prominent artists in the style
And if any of you were somehow able to identify the piece \ artist, I would be extremely grateful. I think I need to buy it.
That looks like common expressionist or outside fare.
Just look it up online, expressionism is very well documented.
Looks like naivism with a touch of cubism maybe.
I don't see the expressionism in it.
Any ideas as to artist \ source? I've tried everything I can via the CD route

Post your current drawing here and give constructive critique to others!
Please make sure your posted image is clear, downsized to around 1000 pixels wide, rotated to the correct orientation, and that any unused space is cropped.
If you want critique on a drawing from the previous thread, you can delete it there and repost in this one.

I know
When did you grow out of drawing anime?
I've notice the more I get good the less anime I draw. Most anime is bad anatomy, bad perspective. The better a person gets the more flaws people can see in anime.
That is why fine artist don't draw anime.
>>2448450
Good work you're learning to draw from life now here comes the hard part you ready? Here we go, now apply everything you've learned onto this form of style and deviate away from life while still holding onto fundamentals to essentially "break the rules"
Come back and tell me if you still feel like you've improved after that.
Never, now I can just draw it better and not try to make it ugly with obvious Western influences to be "unique" like I did when I was in my weeaboo denial phase
That bottom girl looks like a disgruntled frog even if it's more "realistic" and the top doesn't have eyelids so of course it's hideous
>>2448450
The only time I drew anime was when I was in 4th grade and doodling DBZ ripoffs. So around age 10 I guess?
Can we get a progression critique thread going?
Post your own progression and critique the learning paths/progression of others.
Maybe recommend better working habits ect that you can see could help fellow d/ic/ks

i should have mentioned in the OP that this is not a "cringe" thread. no-one learns anything from shitposting.
>>2444787
I've posted this on one of the LAS boards but I guess you didn't see it.
I look at your work now and then, and you seem to be at about the same skill level as me.(you are better but you also draw much more than me)
My question is, do you consider yourself as an artist? meaning, do you really see yourself doing it for life?
Why do most of you draw beautiful women and not the ugly ones? I guess it´s not all about art, right? You pervs.
>>2443862
Because I am not a leftard
>>2443862
>be ugly af tumblerette
>draw everything ugly and repulsive
>hurrdurr can you all please draw ugly girls too?
no thanks tumblrina, i like my girls cute and feminine. and my men muscular, tall and with big dicks (no homo)
All women are ugly. I draw them equally.
currently looking to buy a mannequin to help practice drawing bodies.
any reason to get a nicer one than a $4 one off ebay?
I bought one of those a few years ago. It's just an ornament now, I never use it.
>>2433006
not useful, but its nice I guess to have just to stand there and look pretty, like figurines
dont even think about it. an ipad app offers much more versatility than of one these things. i had one , was so excited. literally never used it for two years now. same with the hand. i only use it for its middle finger to piss my mudslime brother.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZeI914hM2s
get yourself that app. if you have the air ipad. its great. fine for mini. even if you dont then there are pc alternatives.

Bring us your roughs, your storyboards, your pencil tests etc. Talk about industry, schools, the hopelessness of it all, how we all gonna make it etc.
If you're gonna post animation that isn't yours give source or state that it isn't yours.
Keep shitposting to a minimum. Don't feed the trolls.
