What's your opinion on outsider art?
I like it, it's very interesting.
The term "outsider art" is total horseshit. Art is art - doesn't matter who made it.
>>2460594
well that's why it's called outsider "art"
the fact that the person making hasn't been able to draw inspiration and knowledge in any conventional way from the extensive theorisation and exposition of art all over the world is worth taking in account in order to appreciate the stuff for what it is
the horseshit term is surely "art" in this context or any
What do you guys think of my drawing? It's based on this song

Thanks bro, here's something for you.
Good or not?
Bad. Quit forever.
But really, what do you want?
>>2462845
I want validation because I don't believe in myself.
>>2462848
Good, keep drawing til you do believe in yourself
need rare baits guys
i call this "the realist's"
you can't get better then this
A debate for the ages, /ic/:
> if you build it, people will come
> if you overprice your shit, people will think its quality
Yes or no?
Assuming you have skill, great aesthetics and a crazy amount of productivity? Yes.
>>2457722
> implying
There's people living comfy right now from amateur fnaf art. If you create furshit, the furries will pay.
>>2457717
> if you build it, people will come
I've always lived by this motto. Still, it's still good to market yourself.
There's no such thing as bad publicity.
Is this a good drafting table for charcoal sketching?
Anyone got any suggestions?
In my opinion the more tools you have to make an enjoyable act more convienent is not a disadvantage. Worthless on its own without a creator tho.
any table when angele at least 30 degrees is very good for any art creation
>>2460753
buy a drawing horse or find a bench attach a plank at the end and buy an a2 board where it will lean at 45 degrees. the board is where you rest your newsprint sheets. its really good for charcoal sketching. seek out watts on youtube. if you are serious do this.
what's the difference between drawing for fun and drawing as a professional? Do you think drawing for fun is a bad thing to do?
I just whipped up this drawing in a few seconds, free hand.
>what's the difference between drawing for fun and drawing as a professional?
Responsibility, obligations, and money.
>Do you think drawing for fun is a bad thing to do?
No.
>>2459352
Pretty much this. I want to also add critical thinking. An artist who is drawing for fun might not care about practicing anatomy and just want to draw fanart forever, whereas a professional might spend lots of time doing studies just to get better.
How do I enjoy drawing again? I used to draw for fun, now I just get depressed at my lack of progress and how crap I am at it.
to say about this drawing.
>>2465455
Ugly as fuck, nah, i'm kidding,
good one Fio
She has no butt! Give her butt at least some definition..
>>2465547
OK.I work on it in the next drawings.
Hey, I never really show anyone my drawings. Can someone tell me if my art is okay or not? Or some tips to develop better. Here's a random scribble I did with pastels.
Much appreciated (:
>>2458973
it looks like really bad graffiti
Try painting, research abstract art.
>>2458983
lol i know, I was just trying to do random shapes, I mostly like doing trippy doodles like this.
ITT we share our favorite anons. If your work is posted, claim them and give how you might be known.
>procrastinate

>>2464553
>be pro
>literally drowning in work
>yolo just gonna play vidya all day
>living the life
>xD
i'll... i'll start working off my queue tomorrow LOL surely!
>procrastinate
>dream about having enough free time to just draw for 2/3 a day every day
>realize that will never happen
>get sad and shitpost on /ic/, tricking my brain into thinking I'm learning about art
I'VE BEEN LIVING A LIE
THERE'S NOTHING INSIDE
>>2464553
That's ok, even if you managed to make it you would be wracked by impostor syndrome, so those daydreams are the closest you'll ever get to that dopamine rush either way.
What are the stages of drawing and getting good and what characterizes each stage?
The only answer you'll get here is dunning kreuger
But if you mean to 'quantify' the stages of actually improving
gooood fucking luck. also this belongs in the question thread
Is this sketch yours? I like it. Don't know about any spesific stages so can't comment on that.
