Is there a faster/more efficient way of learning to draw? It's been almost a year and I've made no progress. The loomis didn't help and I just get pissed off every time I try to draw something.
>Pic related: It's still fucking shit
you could have done better
maybe at least try to draw something witha little bit of effort (take like 5-10 minutes at it) and way more people will fall for it
for now i estimate 10-20 (You)'s
if you say you've only been drawing for a month you'd get double the (You)'s
No, and unless you get a better attention spam you are going to be always shit
I'm assuming OP is bait or legitimately fucking retarded. If the later, abandon it, there is no hope for you.
First thing I did on a drawing tablet. Any kind of criticism welcome
>tfw you can draw porn of anyone you know
>tfw you can draw anyone you see naned
>tfw you are a god
I want to draw from imagination. Actually, I want to paint from imagination. For now, I'm drawing from real life to develop some skills.
How long should I keep doing this? When should I start drawing from imagination? When should I switch from drawing to painting which is my ultimate goal?
Picture is my latest drawing, if it helps. t
I'm making this thread so people can post art from artists they are interested in and passer-bys can drop little comments, critiques of their work, what they think of their skill, their strong points, how hard would it be to achieve such a level, what to learn to get as good, etc
I think it might be interesting, as long as it doesn't derail in shitposting.
So for a starter, what do you think of Ahmed Aldoori's art? I'm watching some of his videos and it's okay, but he's mostly doing the same thing again and again, same faces, same...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Oh, and I forgot to mention but by acknowledged I meant "guys who got an already big, and still growing fanbase". Can be super famous classic artists to new web-made Sakimichans (I'm also interested in what you think of her/him, but no shitpost please).
Also, lately I'm very fond of the style of this webcomic artists, the figures and realistic proportions while staying kinda cute. What do you think of it? http://bato.to/reader#a2b5a376a103c663_17
lately I started a list with artists I like and study them whenever don't know what to draw
I like this guy for how undefined and implied detail feel he has to his work, I suppose you could also blame him of same face, but I am ok in this case, because I like the style
ahmed is another artist from the list I mentioned
We draw our interpretation of how a person with the names we get would look!
For example, if i get "Don Colon" maybe i'll draw a mafia with an ass for a face
So, what do you goys think of abstract landscape paintings? I'll post some of mine. Please post some of yours.
Can you guys give any advice on what can be improved in here. I started drawing lessons in last october and I think its pretty neat, but I think there is something missing.
As far as your style goes, the drawing has all the workings to be a 1940s style drawing of a woman. That said, if you were going for realism the mouth is too far down, and the lines aren't strong enough. The hair has no particular shading and don't be afraid to go very dark with the pencil. The eyelashes are one solid shape rather than the jagged lines that we know eyelashes to be. Finally, there is no sideburns on her, not that she needs full on mutton-chops but a few out of place strands or something would suffice.
Anyone watched any of the paid videos by Jason Seiler? Are they worthwhile?
I love his caricature style and the look of his paintings
I can't stand these funhouse mirror efforts. Exaggeration is just one part of caricature, I think another part of it is abstraction, put something of your own in the figure that was NOT there, that tells you something about the person being caricatured. Al Hirschfeld is so well known as a caricaturist because in addition to exaggerating, he also simplified, and what he chose to keep in his caricature after omitting everything else is an abstraction, his own unique viewpoint.
how can you faggots not enjoy drawing?
I'm literal trash and can only trace collages I made on photoshop.
And yet I fucking love to draw and have fun.
I see you faggots doing practice after practice but never doing it for fun, doing cool drawings that make the viewer feel something.

I'm into a band and get money.
I plan to take commisions and maybe write a comic or smth
Advice: If you are not a well known artist and you need money , don't be picky when it comes to choosing a job , just do it for the money until you get popular .
