How the fuck is this art when I could literally write my name on a toilet and it would have the same effect?

>How the fuck is this art
It isn't.
Hey OP who decided to let you be the judge of what is art and what isn't?
I recently received some tips about my face and head proportions, and I want to know if there are any other issues that are presented within this piece.
>>2482955
you're welcome
>>2484178
Thanks?
>>2484148
>any other issues
Dude the whoke thing is an issue. The proportions are off, those tits are broken and the fat distribution would leave this woman in her back like a fucking tortoise.
recommend some dA or tumblr artists you guys like. no self promo, faggots.
a lot of the good artists i follow have really plateaued over the years, sadly. pic related
Almost every artist has a DA or Tumblr, so are you just asking for any artist we like?

Hi /ic/
I've completed some drawings with MSPaint+Flash MX 8 and I want to paint them to make em slick.
What is the best digital painting software for use with a mouse? Is it possible to get somewhat quality work from painting with a mouse?
What is the best software for mouse-painting?
Is this 2007
>ms paint
OP if you don't want to invest in a tablet, just stick with traditional. Drawing with a mouse is not worth it.
I'm a frustrated engineering student, and I want to get into arts. The problem is:
- I'm a begineer in drawing, and to convince my parents that I can do good in arts, I should git gud till february
- In the next february will happen the next admission in the university. It is a test in visual perception and drawing.
With that in mind, I want to focus this year to git gud, and be ready to pass the test, and show my parents that I can do arts.
So, someone can help me with a routine for rest of this year? I'm thinking in at least 6 hours per day in...

Ask yourself if you've ever done anything as rigorous as 6 whole fucking hours each day.
Use your time wisely. And always keep learning. Accelerate that learning any way you can.
That doesn't necessarily mean 6 hours a day.

Line exercises are pointless after your first 20 hours drawing because you will be practicing it in everything you do
Also the stuff you listed is just different subjects not actual fundamentals like shapes perspective anatomy and values.
go to the sticky
>>2484454
When I say still life, for example, I mean everything that include it, like 3d shapes, some shades and values. When saying figure drawing, that includes gesture, basic anatomy, etc.
I'm using some books from the sticky.
>>2484451
That's a problem that I have. I will try to begin 'little', then keep increasing that time.
This six hours would be spaced throughout.
I am searching for help cause I must git gud till february, otherwise...

Old one at 300
Because we should not have to make new threads or post in draw threads with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make your mom proud.
AVOID asking unrelated questions, There is a question thread for that.
Visit the usual "Art book Thread" to find your desired books.
Do not forget to PLEASE RESIZE and crop your images before uploading them. 1kpx is fine.
Before asking "what should I read/view/study/learn," Read the...

Garbage perspective studies Edition
This is a thread for traditional painting. Acrylic, Oil, Gouache, Watercolors, etc. Post your finished works, works in progress, critique, compare to chunbum park or illistrat, and so on.

i like it, i think. I think the sheets (i assume they're sheets) are a bit too stiff-looking, they feel very stone like. maybe that's just my mind playing tricks on me since there are actual stones as well, but the two substances should be very distinct.
i'm a sucker for space stuff though so i like the nebula lookin deal, could be a bit more transparent though imo. also the largest star seems to have something bizarre hanging off its flare, not sure if that's intentional or not.

pick up scott robertson man. your perspective on those lamps is way off in many spots.
What's the difference between Promarker and Tria?
Tria is recharchable and has three nibs but what else?
Which is better to buy?
>>2485107
>recharchable
:(
>>2485109
what?
>>2485107
Not much, just choose whichever one is more convenient to buy
How's the art scene in the Twin Cities?
full of gays, hipsters, muh culture minorities, overrun with Somalians and typical modern art diarrhea. I give it a light 2 out of 10.
There's a local atelier, the aptly named 'the Atelier' that you can scope out. The museums are shit just like you'd expect, otherwise.

Wtf the Walker is cool.
This thread is for the discussions of traditional works only.
Those who fell for the digital meme kindly hide the thread and stay out.
Grissailles: worth the trouble or wasted effort? Glazes seem more effective at adding depth.
I'm trying to do more with pen and ink work, but I'm finding it hard to transition from a pencil into ink and line. This is the last thing I did recently - if anyone has any advice to give I'd be very grateful to you.

I'm an idiot. Forgot the file.
I just need some feedback, what can do to make this better and how?

You don't have the spark
Would you like to see my sketches?
It seems to me like training to draw with both hands would be a good deterrent from CPS. You'd be splitting the workload among both hands so that you could rest one hand without slowing down your studies.
How am I wrong?

btw Da Vinci was ambidextrous
How does that work?can he think separately at the same time or does he need to pay attention at 1 for few sec and other again for few sec
>>2479909
The video is sped up really fast so it seems like he's drawing the faces simultaneously, but in reality that's not really possible. A single brain can only focus on one thing at one time.
That's why I don't think it would really make the drawing process faster, it would just take a lot of stress off of the dominant hand. It would probably help people appreciate and respect symmetry a lot more too.
What the hell is CPS?
Has anyone on /ic/ improved drastically? Can you name someone with a before and after who you secretly look up to or hate?
>>2473374
rinfag has some pretty damn good progress, I don't have any of his progress collages saved though.
I like him
>git gud
>draw giant lolis smashing cities all day
There you go
>>2473379
what in god's fucking name
What do you guys think of my drawing? I'm a beginner so please go easy, I know the anatomy is shit.
Never pick up a pencil again

nice cubism but this board its for academic drawing
Any advice?
Why did you do this? What did you achieve? Did you learn something?
Dont make a new thread for your shitty drawing.
OH MY GOD
IT'S SO REALISTIC
ALMOST LIKE A PHOTOGRAPH
HOW DID YOU LEARN TO DRAW LIKE THIS
CAN I TOUCH YOU
