Has anybody been here? What are your opinions on Watts Atelier; looks pretty legit.
I follow an artist on tumblr who went to watts and they speak highly of it. she says she only started drawing two years ago (when going to watts) and now she's making money off of her stuff so...yep.

Honestly, if his videos on youtube of some of the classes or whatever they are. Are anything to go by, it seems pretty fucking awesome. Was able to pick up quite a bit on things I deemed myself too retarded to learn. So I like the method they have there for teaching.
I'd pay for it if I had the cash to spend.
Side note that has nothing to do with the school, just the guy in charge, Jeff Watts.
He tends to 'brag' about his own skill, then instantly tuck his tail and try to seem more humble...

i would begin by not using paint
but an actual program with some pen sensibility
I don't like the mouth because it's a little "kabuki teatre" style
but that may be what you wanted to achieve
well, it will take some work and studies but drawing hairs is hard
meh, I'm reposting my meme
How difficult is it nowadays to get into 3d modeling for a 2d artist who has done physical sculpting before? What programs would you recommend? Any good guides out there?

Every board needs to stop sending people to /g/ and /3/. These boards will not answer questions, they will shit post or say nothing. 3D, tablet questions should always be asked here.
Anything tech related should be asked on google search bar cause no board is useful for that.

3D and hardware is also not this board's responsibility

What are some of the best resources to learn about the history of art?
Wikipedia and google
>>2487278
awfull. no just no. dont go to cuckpedia for anything. its become a biased hellhole for past 5 years. all all the excitement and fascination of history will be reduced to dry late night reading from a monitor.
seek out books, on individuals, styles, movements,
and also documentaries , i would be careful of this. but there some good ones.
it would be nice if some anons cold recommend some.

My local Goodwill and Savers has alot of books about paintings and art history.

Could you tell more about what she did with her feet to your 14-year old body
>you didn't fucked her
that's a good touch of realism.
how the fuck do people paint.
im starting a "what i suck at/good at" thread cause ive never seen one.
suck at: starting threads baka. anything involving color, in theory and practice. it just doesnt click with me, even when using pre selected color palettes i find a way to mess it up. also shading.
skillful at: pencil, sketching, and line work. learning charcoal and ive taken a liking to it. i feel like ive got an eye for composition and layout, at least relative to my art skills in general.

How would you go about making a 2D character into a rendered painting? While still keeping the style or aestetic of that character? Here are some examples.

Forgot to say that was Odette from Swan Princess.
Pic related is some woman from Kill la Kill anime
Dio from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
do you really think this is plagiarism?
>>2482154
do you really think this is big enough?
>>2482154
Heavily inspired.
The artist probably wanted a break during an action sequence so he looked at another manga and took a scene here and there
>>2482154
nah. western comic makers straight up trace each other. This is nothing in comparison.
Comments?? Needed to finish something inbetween bigger projects and came up with this. It's called "Politics 2016".

Is an artist morally obligated to prescribe to anyone else's idea of what art should be besides their own?
Pic unrelated.
>>2484750
unless you provide some context no one will care about this thread
Is a dishwasher morally obligated to not pose as an artist? I think yes, since deception is usually viewed as immoral.
If you actually believe in something being art, then that's morally sound, but if you attention whore with garbage nobody likes besides your circle of circlejerk buddies and associates please at least don't insist that others see things your way. You're not entitled to have something acknowledged just because you want it to be.
yes if you feel the need to appeal to that demographic of people for whatever reason.
idk shit about the morality aspect, as far as im concerned no one is morally obligated to do anything.
First time on this. This is the biggest Stencil I've done unfortunately even though I've shown it around and no critique. Please tell me what you think, position, or what I've should've done as a background.

How is Jazza so popular? How do people praise him so much when a lot better people exist?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lV3whC1k-Us
Because he's charismatic; he sells himself as much as his art and for as bad as he is at straight drawing he is great at explaining how software works.
Being good at drawing doesn't make you popular, or a good teacher, or likeable.

There are lots of great artists who are shit teachers, but there are no great teachers who are shit artists.
I am working on a savage dragon porn parody and can use some constructive criticism. I use the great hentai artist Shiwasu no okina as a reference so some of the poses might seem familiar. Let me know what I should change or fix.
