The first one, yeah, I guess. I don't ask for "follow ups", but I do still request. The second one though, that's not the case at all. She is a character for a book I'm gonna make, but I'm not doing anything with the art. The book isn't enen going to have art. It'll be a novel. Even if I did have art of her (along with the main characters) I would either do it myself (if I get better at drawing) or hire someone and give them full credit.

i started on paper, at school mostly where i had more drawings then actual notes. then I got a cheap bamboo tablet. Using the tablet is harder than drawing on paper. I am not sure if using a tablet with a screen would be esier.
