does anyone else really dislike the art design of halo from halo 4-5.
When Bungie made them the armour and weapon designs felt clean and a kind of class. Aport from the new Master cheif design which looks good i feel that everything feels over-designed and eveything looks like some transformer toy.
Also halo 5, especially the forge textures looks very bland and almost like pre-release assets.
Is it just nostalga? or did bungie just have really good artists?

Things started looking bland at Halo 3 when they went for the "everything is brown" overly detailed look.
Sometimes simple is better. The nearly solid colored textures in Halo 1 were a lot more striking and beautiful to look at.

My problems not with the armor design, I think there are some really good designs but because there are so many eventually some will be bad. What makes them look so bad is the clean plastic look. Reach had such a good gritty look to everything, but in Halo 4-5 everything is so bright and clean. Also, black undersuits look a lot better than colored ones.

its mainly because Bungie bailed on Halo after Reach and ODST, 343 took up and they wanted to shake up that which is Halo.
they didnt hit the mark in my humble opinion. 4 was ok, 5 didnt feel like Halo to me. i miss the older ones
