The world was a different place when they grew up. We are incredibly lucky to be young in the modern era. The social stigma of being gay is close to being erased, AIDS and HIV is under control and not killing our friends at age 20, we can find sex in normal and healthy ways instead of finding it in truck stop bathrooms and dimly lit parks at night.
