Oh. Well, I don't really watch much cable because there are too many reality shows going on. In spite of that, I do like watching "Million Dollar Listing: New York" and "The Real Housewives" shows but it has to be Jersey, Beverly Hills and Atlanta. I like a lot of old shows, too. This isn't true at all. The pilot has to introduce the main characters, establish their relationships with each other, and set the stage for future developments. All that shit eats up time and bogs down the episode. Plus, most shows don't reach their full potential until the second season because the writers get better as they become more comfortable with each other and with the characters.
More often than not, the pilot is one of the weakest episodes in a series' run. I never judge a show by the first episode.
