What does /his/ think of School of Life?

what's wrong about it?

its a betacuck echochamber, intermixed with poignant and useful knowledge
Haven't watched the video. What is it?
Also, what other philosophy/history/science YT channels are worth following?

https://www.youtube.com/user/TheGreatWar and https://www.youtube.com/user/BlastfromthePast are fairly good. Though the latter seems dead. https://www.youtube.com/user/ForgottenWeapons if you want old firearms and how they worked. I also adore https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYzmanp7vNYq4_0BMRcMutw?&ab_channel=Anekantavad for how weird he is.

School of Life's a hit or miss for me. Occasionally gets some insights right, but goes full-on pleb with others.
It's not as bad as full-on SJW pseudo-intellectual bullshit, at least they've shown on occasion that they can be better than that.

I know it's world of tanks but this channel and the people being interviewed are fantastic for WWII material

It's a great channel with quality content, I find it very helpful and insightful. Their videos help me evaluate my own opinions on matters and direct me to schools of thought and ideas that I didn't know about before.
Never mind the autists who think that their opinions are only correct ones and that everyone else who doesn't agree with them is an idiot or a cuck.

You can't learn philosophy from 10-15 youtube videos. You can't even get to the point where you even understand the most basic concepts. At the very best it's a way to get a glimpse at something and decide if you want to read the multiple books involved in order to have a grasp on the basics.
Anything done seriously is going to require time investment.

Obviously you can't learn all of it from a few minute short videos but it can serve as a good springboard

It's a good introduction to philosophy. The amount of people with an interest in philosophy outnumbers the amount of people who have the patience to read it.

>Constantly too mentally exhausted to concentrate on reading
please dear god help me

I have a strong feeling of disdain towards this channel. Although rarely they do present something interesting or at least valid, most of their content is pseudo-philosophy/psychology. Their series on various historical figures is
a bunch of straw-men. They take out of context almost every fragment of philosophy and present it in the most plebeian way possible. Worst of all: people take for granted what they say. I have met irl people who instead of reading a (the) book just watched their videos and had the impression they had academic level of knowledge about the subject. They very, very rarely produce genuinely good content.
tl;dr cancer
