We'd know a lot less about the history of the Kingdom of Kongo because Portuguese exploits there in the 15th century provided them with written language and so we know a lot more about them than most other pre-colonial Central African states.
Ethiopia would probably be in better shape after Tewodros II without any British interference.
Apart from that not a lot would change until the 19th century. Dahomey, Ashanti, Kongo and the Zulus would probably have emerged as the great powers in their regions though southern Africa would probably continue to be pretty isolated.

Honestly, Military Intervention wouldn't have changed much. The genocidiares were militarily deposed after 100 days. Even after the september 11th attacks, it took the US nearly a month to prepare for hostilities in Afghanistan.
Expecting the world to get credible intelligence, prepare for, and enact military deployment in under 100 days is pretty unreasonable.

They would be a century behind even as compared to now. European extraction of African resources wasn't as all encompassing as people would have you believe and most of the African inland was barely touched, just claimed by rival powers.
Coastal subsaharan African countries would still trade with Europeans in a disadvantage position but it wouldn't be that significant. Western concepts wouldn't penetrate for centuries. It would be bad for everyone except maybe a few million Congo kids who would never have to meet the handchopping muscle from Brussels.

For example, the ability to emphasize is incredibly important for the formation of societies yet is completely missing in Africans, even those living in west today.
Another example is the ability to think abstractly.
