If an all-knowing alien visited the earth and said that the polar opposite political belief is the way to true prosperity, would you embrace that belief?
>>951979
Frankly, probably not, I'd be too worried the aliens would be showing up to take over. And what better way to destroy a native population than to have them do it themselves.
Now, if they actually show some proof they're benevolent and just trying to help, sure, but I'd also be wary of trusting someone who's basically saying "Well it worked for me!" when my biggest complain with most ideologies is that they exist in a vacuum and setting that has never appeared before in human history. In case anyone was wondering, I'm fairly conservative and I don't see liberal ideologies ever working out long term as long as humans are humans in all their selfish, short sighted assholery.
Maybe.
>>951979
How do I know that the alien is all-knowing?
Yes, and perverse it to fit my worldview.
>>951979
No, I am right.
No.
Filthy xenos out.
>>951979
>all-knowing alien
good luck proving that
>>951979
I'd nuke that commie alien son of a bitch
>/leftypol/ memes

>>951979
Not if he just said it, no. But if he had the data and arguments to back his claim then still no, because gas the xenos.
>>951979
<petty contrarianism here>
>>952558
That question is trivial because he already knows everything. It's literally like asking god what to do.
>>951979
Hard to believe that a species intelligent enough to master space travel would still believe in gods, demons and other fairy tales.
>>952558
If a truly omniscient being told me that something would be the best course of action, and I also knew that the being wasn't lying, then of course I'd do it.
>>951979
1. This is not history.
2. No, for the following reasons
A. The alien would have a radically different definition of "prosperity" than any humans due to the radically different environment he descended from
B. Mastery of space travel does not imply or even indicate mastery of moral issues

>history and humanities
>and humanities
Are you a Posadist, OP? J. Posadas believed that aliens would bring socialism to mankind.
It's still more sane than the whole revolutionary bullshit.
Even if he knows everything, how do I know that he isn't just lying in order to deceive me?
>>951979
Why would I trust some random ayys definition of prosperity over my own?
What the fuck does prosperity even mean? Personal prosperity or for all of mankind?
>>952631
It's not really humanities either.
>>951979
I'd listen to what they had to say and decide for myself whether I'd follow it or not but I wouldn't just blindly accept it.
>>951979
I would tell him that prosperity is a spook, and that he should read Stirner
>>951979
But God already told us what the best political system is, why aren't you all following Sharia?
I say we kill Porky!
>>952385
>>955591
Love you Stirner, you glorious bastard you.
But at the same time you're my property and I use you.
>>955625
It's an all-knowing alien rather than a truth-speaking alien, so I can probably disregard his comment and take up the opportunity to discourse with him on various matters.
>>951979
"True prosperity" is too subjective.
>>951979
POSADISM AKA AYY LMAO WILL BRING COMMUNISM

Beginning in 1968, Posadas also became known for his theories concerning UFOs. If anything like UFOs existed, they could demonstrate the existence of agents able to master a very sophisticated technology, something that would be compatible with what in this planet was advocated by socialism. If UFOs existed, they could be allied in addressing some of the major problems in the earth.
In his pamphlet Les Soucoupes Volantes, le processus de la matiere et de l'energie, la science et le socialisme (Flying Saucers, the process of matter and energy, science and socialism), Posadas pleaded that "“We must call upon beings from other planets when they come to intervene, to collaborate with the inhabitants of the Earth to overcome misery. We must launch a call on them to use their resources to help us.”
I-I didn't believe you, anon

>as humans are humans in all their selfish, short sighted assholery.
That's precisely why I'm not a conservative and want the world to get as far away from conservative thinking as it can. Humans have the capacity to organize themselves against the exploitation of resources and other humans, and this should be taken advantage of as much as possible, lest everyone screw each other over by following their self interest.

Fuck right off.
>>956890
>We must call upon beings from other planets when they come to intervene
Aliens don't exist.
They are demons/angels.
Assuming for the sake of argument that the Alien is omniscient and is able to convincingly prove it, of course. The whole reason for holding any political view is that you believe it to be the best route to happiness and prosperity for you/everyone else. If someone comes down and conclusively proves that it's actually a different political ideology that is objectively better for these purposes, it would be nonsensical to continue to hold your original belief.

>Humans have the capacity to organize themselves against the exploitation of resources and other humans, and this should be taken advantage of as much as possible, lest everyone screw each other over by following their self interest.
There are a lot of assumptions here. You've given no reason to believe any of them.
Are you form /leftypol/? The OP pic leads me to think that someone here is trying to spread neo-Bolshevik propaganda.
>>956975
>humans should organize themselves against the exploitation of resources and other humans
Yes
>we should do that to the greatest extent possible
Literally totalitarianism
