What does this map show, and at what date?

Wasn't it the fact that Europe conquered the world that sparked the Industrial revolution?

Population during what i assume is the turn of the twentieth century

What happened in the undeveloped countries that made their populations skyrocket?

>Population is the only thing that matters!

Are you stupid, or just extremely ignorant?

And how do you deal with the notion that the Europeans already had extensive colonies and had basically taken over both Americas, all of the coast of Africa, and huge swaths of India, China, and the various islands in Southeast Asia, all before the 19th century?

There's a guy who developed an EXTREMELY hardy strain of wheat in the seventies. Read about it in Time once.

Medicine happens, dropping the infant mortality rates.

Medicine, healthcare.

Pre industrial populations are constantly having children but most die, stop that and population explodes.

As well as maternal mortality rates, which means fertile women can pop out more kids as well as said kids being more likely to make it.

OP is talking about "conquering the world" The places that Europe colonized prior to industrialization (mostly America) was against people they had a steep technological advantage against. The disease also helped. Europe did outclass its REAL competition like China and the Ottomans until the industrial revolution. Hell, even the majority of Africa wasn't able to be colonized until industrialization.

No shit, they didn't want to or need to. Why do people keep mixing this shit up, it's simple. Colonialism in Africa and for massive empires wasn't a thing until the 19th century and post industrialization. The big shit in the 16th and 17th century was trade, and, holy shit, look at what they did! They conquered the coasts and established trade ports and, in the case of the Dutch, trade empires. Wow, history sure is fun!
