1932 was the Weimar Republic. Literally modern Germany cranked up to 11, but without the massive numbers of migrants. They had no basically no military, the only weapons they were allowed were the most beat up of all their WWI surplus, they didn't train their troops, and the soldiers had no pride or faith in their country, and so wouldn't fight shit if they were ordered to.
