Let's imply that the world decided that fighting tournament, similar to the one found in the Anime, "G Gundam" was enacted around the planet and was strictly followed by the world.
Who do you think would win if such a thing were to take place today?

What kind of a fighting tournament? Gundams? MMA? Lacross?
Anyway, probably America, cause drugs and money.

DUDE
what if anime?
Are we talking robots? I think if robot fights became as big as the Olympics, the United States would without a doubt try to be the best at it. As of now, the only reason Japan cares so much for robots is because the US has real things to worry about and Japan is so beta they'd rather have plastic robots than real womyn. China is the other big possibility for the victor. Basically just look at the list of most powerful armies in the world.
If we're talking Hunger Games or Fight Club, a fight to the death, my money is on Australia.
UFC was literally designed to show what happens people from all around the world with different fighting styles come together to see who would win in a fight. Turns out that with the established rules people abandoned what didn't work and developed a homogenized style of fighting that involves grappling your opponent and punching them in the dick repeatedly.
Fighting tournaments would only work as intended like in anime if they were held once and only once. When it becomes a repeated event people don't give a shit about uniquely representing anything and just do what is proven to be effective in fighting tournaments.
