what are some good /his/ approved games?
Most of the Total War Games are legit, personal favourites are Empire: Total War and Shogun 2.
Also EUIV, or any Europa Universalis.
>tfw Anglo-Franco Union and nothing can stop you
>>883760
Anon's modded 1257 AD.
>>883796
>Empire: Total War
such an awful game in such a fun time period
i never thought i would actually wish for another TW sequel but we desperately need an E2TW
>>883760
World in Flames.
>>884080
It's fun, but not very accurate, especially Rome 1.
>German phalanxes
liquor factory simulator 2010
>>884100
rome 1 is so awesome
>>884118
>I'm sad because a game isn't autistic enough
>>884151
t. rob/HPM/rangerage
AoE2 (including the conquerors) is pretty patrician
>tfw you don't play online but just play the comfy campaigns and wish you were there for all of them
though 2bh I'm not sure how I feel about the Forgotten and Alberto Barbosa expansions. Haven't played Alberto's expansion but the campaigns on the Forgotten are stupid as fuck for the most part sadly.
>>884156
>not EE2/RoN
Consider suicide

EE2 is ok, I like playing in the modern era mostly.
D&D is still going on dudes.

Mount and Blade: Warband + DLC
Red Orchestra/Rising Storm series
Hearts of Iron series
>>884254
COH2? You're crazy, the story was so bs'd. They based it around the whole "not one step back XD" meme. The game is fun though.
>>884254
>Shadow President
I'm amazed someone else remembers that game.
>>884086
What the fuck is that?
>>884206
>Defending Dhirim with 3 other lords against about 1000 Vaegir niggers
>Harlaus calls a feast
>Other lords leave
>Get fucked hard by the Vaegirs
>Lose Dhirim
>Almost lose Senuzgda too
>Harlaus REFUSES TO HELP ME RETAKE DHIRIM
So fucking glad I rebelled against that piece of shit.
This game was actually terrible but I still love the concept.
>tfw early game grind on Floris
>listening to Dan "the meme" Carlin sucking Genghis Khan's dick
anyone else know this feel?
Mount & Blade: Napoleonic Wars
I don't like the pace of total war games so M&B:NW is the only place to get your Napoleonic warfare fix. Unless there's some other game I don't know about.
RTW2 with DEI mod. No more fun and games.
CoH2 has some awesome voice actors, Relic does a fantastic job always in this area.
>>884254

My nigga
Redoran, Hlaalu, Telvanni, Tribunal, Imperial or Dagoth?
>>884743
Has anyone played Verdun? Is it good?
>>884118
the game sucks. it is simple as fuck but full of dull micromanagement.
>>884759
It's really good. Just had a massive update and is on sale.
HAHAHAHA
>>883796
Pcheezy
>>883760
RISE OF FUCKING NATIONS
<3
Also, Medieval 2 Total war
>>884100
>German phalanxes
It's just a pike wall, I'm currently modding Rome 1 and the export_descr_unit file has their formation much more disorganized than the Diadochi phalanxes.
>>884496
Imperial Glory but you have to download a whole lot of mods to make it playable, steam version is like $2 but srs about the mods. If you don't have them the AI will kamikaze charge your forces every battle among many other stupid defects.
>>883760
Why aren't there any games based on tabletop wargaming like there are with D&D?
>>884254
>0 A.D.
Crazy how that thing started as a mod for the ORIGINAL Age of Empires.
>>884807
>You will never encounter and defend Nadia from her husband, mocking him for the cuckold that he is while she clings to you and mewls from your hand groping her tight through her taut robes
>>885066
>Why aren't there any games based on tabletop wargaming
Do you mean turn based or system implementation?
Because there's tons of both.
>>885080
I only know of some Warhammer RTS games. Are there anything like Fields of Glory or the De Bellis games where you get to build culturally themed armies?
>>885072
>You will never seal club Nadia's husband while wearing full plate and using a master work weapon

It's shit.

I don't like base M&B. Brytenwalda is much better.

Fuck. That.
Is Assassin's Creed /his/ approved?
league of legends
>>886603
Might not be allowed to aknowledge it here. It's about an ancient war between mystery schools. Look at the shape of the symbols...
>>883760
What does /his/ think of /v/'s nominations for Least-Worst game of the year?
https://2015.vidyagaemawards.com/vote/least-hated-game
There's a shit ton of nominees to avoid butthurt fanboys crying about their game not being nominated. Which ones have you played?
>>884086
i've never seen a more unappealing looking interface
Crusader kings 2 is great fun, more so than EU4 imo. I'd rather Viking the shit out of Europe or Crusade the shit out of the mudslimes than actually bother with the strategy of it
>>885757
That game is still giving me a boner.
Also, Rome II total war is the best game I've ever played
>>886603
Isn't that basically "Catholic/Mason conspiracy theories, the game"?
>>883760
The Koei games on Romance of the Three Kingdoms are pretty good, and you can't appreciate them without being at least vaguely familiar with the history. Don't expect to actually learn anything though.
>>884729
>it will never be finished
>>887186
The Nobunagas Ambition that is actually in English on steam is pretty good but really suffers from player blob of doom.

>>890081
>Pharaoh
>building a pyramid
>watching your slav- I mean workers progressively lay down every single brick layer upon layer
I always played games with no enemy presence just for the maximum comfy
>>886603
There is a lot of namedrop of historical figures in it and events that were never showed in vidya vefore (like the bonfire of vanities), plus you can check some ancient architecture. It's interesting if you like history, but horrendous if you're autistic about historical accuracy
PTSD Simulator 2: Heroes of Stalingrad
Here's a pic of my Rottenfuhrer self crawling along to a Soviet position when I saw someone's arm laying there in front of me. I've seen worse, but I had a screenshot of this.
>Play Red Orchestra 2
>Hear the screams of young German men calling their mother as their organs are falling apart from shell wounds.
>>891087
I think this game provides a fairly accurate image of the Eastern Front.
>Spawn
>Dead
>No clue where it came from
>MG>you
>Tank>you
>Artillery>you
>>891095
>tfw learning German and turn all the voices to actual languages (Soviets soak Russian, Germans soak German, rather than English)
>as I learn more, the more horrified I become
>>891096
The brutality of it is what sells it to me. No hand-holding, and the truth is is that you are likely to die an Inglorious death for innocent reasons, and you have to learn it to survive.
>>891116
"Mutti, mutti, hilfe mich"

Outstanding!
I miss the original COD. I hope that Battlefront seriously goes through and makes a world war I game.
