During normal child development, you begin to understand the differences between being a boy or a girl early on. In extremely rare cases this development fucks up, and you identify yourself as the opposite sex. You can't undo this association because it's hardwired into you. It's not the same thing as having a delusion like thinking you're a specific person or a different species. Almost every language in existence has a word for transgender because it's a universal phenomenon as old as civilization itself. There was even a (very shitty) roman emperor who was trans.
Obviously liberal idiocy means a lot of people now identify themselves as transgender because it's trendy or they want attention or because they want millennial brownie points. Those people are faggots taking advantage of the culture surrounding a serious and legitimate condition.
