Well if you want to go all stylised and fancy, the Soviets did it far better, especially when talking officer uniforms. Grey and black is a really fucking poor colour scheme to be quite honest with you my family.
Personally though I think WW2 Imperial Japanese Army uniforms were effay as fuck, with WW2 RAF not far behind. I'm not even a weeb I just think they blend functionality with just that perfect little bit of style so well.

later Poland simply lacked money and resources to train hussars so they became sort of a parade troop to look nice next to the king, then they began wearing two wings on their back
