Numbers stations are less creepy when you realize there's some bored-to-shit, pug-ugly female Russian military auxiliary who spends all day slamming vodka/antifreeze and surreptitiously jilling herself in the recording box at the other end.

Some creepy stuff:

The Mad Trapper of Rat River: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Johnson_(criminal)

Lake Okeechobee skulls: http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2003-06-15/news/0306140108_1_lake-okeechobee-osceola-county-carlson

The Cadaver Synod: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadaver_Synod

If this wasn't a hoax: https://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1310&dat=19510618&id=WjBQAAAAIBAJ&sjid=uAsEAAAAIBAJ&pg=6241,4601254&hl=en

This motherfucker: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vasily_Blokhin

>Blokhin and his team worked without pause for 10 hours each night, with Blokhin executing an average of one prisoner every three minutes. At the end of the night, Blokhin provided vodka to all his men. On 27 April 1940, Blokhin secretly received the Order of the Red Banner and a modest monthly pay premium as a reward from Joseph Stalin for his "skill and organization in the effective carrying out of special tasks". His count of 7,000 shot in 28 days remains the most organized and protracted mass murder by a single individual on record, and saw him being named the Guinness World Record holder for 'Most Prolific Executioner' in 2010.

I think we all know that this woman was obviously trying to get away from someone, and the story of her being followed by two men in the hills could pretty much confirm this, but you have to wonder how amazingly terrified this woman must have been of her perusers to have travelled all over Europe and apparently South America as well just to get away from them, and how dedicated the people looking for her were. The amount of time, money and effort put into finding this woman only makes it more intriguing to try and find out who she was, and what made her so important.

This is more bizarre than creepy. There was a gang of strange people in the Netherland who went around ripping off stores for paltry amounts of money. They were always unnecessarily violent. During their final robbery they were all wearing war paint and screamed like maniacs the entire time. They executed multiple civilians before engaging in a gun battle with the police and fleeing the scene. None of them were ever caught or identified.

One of the last men to be given the death penalty in Portugal, this dude hid in an aqueduct that's really high up and waited for people to pass. Then he'd jump them and throw them off the aqueduct.
After his death, doctors took his head for phrenological studies on the "nature of evil".
The preserved head is now a part of a museum exhibition.

My Grandmother probably had sex or masturbated in and around 1950...Definitely hit puberty before 1950.

Sure someone claimed there was a ghost in a NYC building where a stock broker jumped to his death...and sure someone made joke in regards to this saying "The stock market wasn't the only thing that crashed that day!"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skull_Tower

>The Skull Tower (Serbian: Ćele kula, Ћeлe Кyлa, pronounced [tɕel̩e kula]) is a tower composed largely of human skulls located in the city of Niš, Serbia. During the 1809 Battle of Čegar, fought during the First Serbian Uprising, Serbian revolutionaries under Stevan Sinđelić were attacked by Turkish forces on Čegar Hill, near Niš. Rather than be captured by the Turks and impaled, Sinđelić fired his pistol into a powder magazine, killing himself and all Serbian rebels and Turkish soldiers in the vicinity. Afterward, Hurshid Pasha, the Turkish vizier of Niš, ordered that a tower be made from the skulls of the killed Serbian revolutionaries. The tower is 10 feet (3.0 m) high, and originally contained 952 skulls embedded on four sides in fourteen rows.

>In 1849 British traveler Alexander William Kinglake described Skull Tower as the building that captivated him most in all of Ottoman Serbia, saying he was impressed by the "simple grandeur of the architect's conception" and that he was struck by the "exquisite beauty of the fretwork."[11] An exhibition at the Military Museum in Belgrade contains a replica of the tower.[5] Prior to the dissolution of Yugoslavia, tens of thousands of schoolchildren from across Yugoslavia visited the original in Niš.[7]
