Given that most people see the Crusades as a ''Christian vs Muslim'' fight, this is pretty revealing. Given that the Roman Christianity was decided upon 300 years after Christ, just merely beating Arianism, only to assert everything else as heresy afterwards and fight those people more brutally than the entire reason the Crusades were supposed to be happening (the Christians being persecuted by the Muslims)
