Was Aristotle black?
As can be seen from the manuscript (13th century) Aristotle is shown teaching Alexander The Great (notice the difference in color).
here, a sculpture of Aristotle showing African features

Is it possible that Aristotle was black/african? If so, then he would be the second great black greek after Socrates.

The Arab Moors like Aristotle so they painted him as their skin color.
This is like saying that Jesus was Chinese because in 13th centuary China they drew him as a Chink.

>African features
That doesn't mean anything. Africa is a continent, not an ethnicity, nor a race.
>>825255
I know, what I meant was he could be either Egyptian or North African, Ethopian, etc
>African features in sculptures
At least phrenology was based on bone formations.

>then why didn't they paint Alexander black as well
Aristotle was the corner stone of Moorish philosopher. Avverroes and Avicenna both based their entire systems on his thinking. The scientific community also used Aristotle for astronomy and biology.
Alexander was just a conquerer, they didn't have any special connection to them. In contrast Aristotle was revered as a sort of prophet so it makes since they would make him the same ethnicity as their other prophets.
Besides why the hell would people who were not part of Aristolte's culture and lived 1600+ years after he died have a special insight into his appearance?
Everyone knows Greece was founded by Ancient Slovenes
According to pict related alexander the great is asian dressed in persian costume, also
>relying on islamic manuscript for any realistic depiction
Fuck off
He was a Macedonian, so he was actually a slav.

>Are you so mad that North Africans were originally Black
How?
You shouldn't just assume that portraits at that time period were meant to accurately portray someone's appearance. Without additional info about the painting traditions of these people this doesn't count as evidence of anything about aristotle.
>Was [important historical figure] sub-saharan african?
