Is it conceivable that the west doesn't like Communism because corporations have no power in them?
>>
>>821461
yes
>>
No, the mass murders and brutal oppressive dictatorships are why the West doesn't like communism.
>>
Corporations can work with communist regimes
>>
Maybe the west doesn't like Communism because communists have tried to subvert western democracy and were usually corrupt authoritarian shitters who couldn't feed their own people.
>>
Nobody likes communism, except Cuba.
>>
>>821461
Yes

that's why the west doesn't involve itself in mass murders and brutal dictatorships

Compared to communist democracy? Yes, it's very democratic. Communism is not a democratic choice. There's a prominent communist party in Russia, but Putin has an approval rating of over 80%.

I think Western liberalism is awful, that doesn't mean I think we should have a government that persecutes religion and has zero artistic output except from dissenters.
>>
>>821514
Says the faggot who can talk shit about literally anything on a western imageboard, because of said democratic state agreeing that freedom fo speech is an important facet of modern life.
You people make me sick.
>>
We don't like commies because when things fuck up they usually throw the word nationalize around
>>
The west hates communism now because of what happened in the USSR. But it's a very Western idea in the first place. Christian theology is the grandmother of Bolshevism.
>>
>>821461
No, the west doesn't like communism is fundamentally based on the idea of private property.
You cannot have a corporation, it is the fear of the worlds elites that they wont be so elite anymore
>>
Not really. Nobody has power in communis except for the big guy, as shown by stallinism. you basically work as a janitor for 20 years then get lynched by the kgb.
>>
>>821519
>There's a prominent communist party in Russia, but Putin has an approval rating of over 80%.
What is your point with this?
>>
>>821461
They don't like it because they can no longer derive social power from their property.
>>
>>821461
The West does not like Communism because of the example nation states that embodied (or attempted to embody) communism have ended up a standard of living as well as a general life style that was not within acceptable means to adopt on a grand scale.

So far it's opponents Capitalism and Socialism have provided the basic needs as well as living standards that are at a better quality of life than what Communism (or pseudo communism if you do not believe any of the incarnations are a representation of) has given to its people.

So far communism is nothing more than a pipe dream.

nice cuckage

Actually, I am a supporter of Minarchistic Capitalism.

That being said, if space travel becomes a thing I would not be surprised if on a distant meteor or moon or planet that Communism grows into its society it dreams of.
>>
>>821618
of course commies are meme spewers.
>>
>>821605
Communism is not supported by the East either.

Big corporations are some of the greatest funders of communism. Check out Rene A. Wormser's books on American foundations, for example.

Communism wouldn't have gone anywhere without the Ford Foundation and the Open Society Foundation of George Soros funding it. These big corporations like communism because it centralizes power in the government, a government they can control through political influence.

If you actually look at world history, you realize that the greatest source of anti-communist feeling doesn't come from big corporation, but from small and medium sized business.
>>
>>821461
It's conceivable, yes. But there are many more equally or more compelling reasons why individuals in the west might dislike Communism, and there is no reason to think that it is the primary reason either.
>>
>>821635
>ford literally funded nazi germany because they were virulently anti-communist and wanted to destroy the soviet union
wew
>>
>only the elite hate communism
>working class people who hate communsim are just brainwashed
Is this the biggest meme perpetuated by communists?

The original fear of communism was that it represented a total (and invariably violent) reversal of power and social structures. Most people in the west, even the less well-to-do who would purportedly have the most to gain from communism, had little wish to go through their own Russian or Chinese revolution. Life wasn't and isn't perfect, but it was good enough they weren't desperate for the change.
>>
I'm not exactly against communism, however, I don't think it's currently a possible reality. The world might evolve naturally in that direction, but I don't think it will be any immediate revolution in our lifetimes or any foreseeable lifetime. Any attempts at it via revolution currently will just result in a pseudo-communist dictatorship. I think market socialism would be possible in modern society, and possibly even mutualism or anarcho-syndicalism in smaller societies.

This actually makes some sense
>fund communist governments
>wait for some brutal dictator to fuck it all up for just a little while
>collapse happens
>Swoop in and buy up all the public resources at firesale prices

I don't like Communism because Communists lie to the masses to mobilize them into doing stupid shit, like Bernie supporters did in Chicago last night.
>>

that sounds like quitter talk
>>
>>821461
This is what commies actually believe.

No, it's more likely that they hate communism because it wants to destroy the status quo.

Is it conceivable? Yes. Is it the reason why? No.
Its the brutal oppression, starvation and murder.

Yes. Without private property, or an easily exploited worker, what power does the parasite have?
