You have ten seconds to explain the more than 400 sightings of Bigfoot in America alone since its founding.

Where is one (1) dung sample?
Where is one (1) bone?

We've had it a bunch of times. It pops up once or twice a week. Someone's just trying to shill a stupid, nonsensical meme.

Did that guy ever get around to posting his research on the emergence of the bigfoot phenomenon?
>>

That dude was me (I think, if we're talking about the same previous version of this shitty thread), and I posted about all I was willing to write up on 4chan. If I'm remember right, it was a pretty decent summary of the whole thing, and it was more work than a troll thread is worth.

Seems like a comfy life to live

Definitely more than the troll thread was worth, but definitely appreciated. I just want you to know your post was one of the most delightful I've had in my 8 years on 4chan, and that's including the time I've spent on /aco/.

No Bigfoot huh?

Scientologists don't believe in aliens, they believe in time-travelling souls that suffer from PTSD suffered billions of years before they reincarnated into you, a form they arrived in by being exploded at with hydrogen bombs in order to bomb them to this mortal coil.

Popular area folklore finds spot as cultural staple, with it's spot cemented by tabloid/sensationalist journalism.

Thanks, man. I'm still thinking about getting my paper published, but because I'm in archaeology none of the professors I work with know a good journal to publish what's essentially a folklore or Native American studies paper about topic most academics don't care about. It's kind of frustrating, but I keep telling myself it'll happen at some point.
>>
>>797977
Oh shit, is THAT the problem? Do you have an American Culture specialist in your history department?
>>
>>797988
I honestly have no idea. I'm in the anthropology department, and I don't know any of the history faculty. I barely know any of the anthropology people outside of the archaeologists, for that matter, but I've never had anything at all to do with the history guys. I don't really think they would, though. The history program at my school isn't great, and is more geared towards the history of the region (which isn't the region I talk about most in the paper) and public history.

There is no way something as big as this would be able to still be alive today and there be no skeletons, droppings, hair or anything else that it would leave behind.

Ah, that's too bad. I can try to look up some specific journals in mind, but based on what you had, I had just assumed you worked in that field because what you have would be so welcome in that field.

I mainly do history of boxing, so there's some overlap there, oddly.

You can take as much time as you like, to explain how a successful breeding population of 8’ tall 500 lb hominids can exist in N.America, while leaving absolutely zero conclusive evidence of their existence.

Neato. I wonder if there's an algorithm for steadying shaky camera recordings yet.
