its inherently bad for literally everyone around you. You are the cancer of the world

Literally animal tier
>>
If you literally just do what feels good in the moment, your friends will probably abandon you, and then you will be lonely.

SPD snowflake here.
When you're on that frequency, no matter how many people you associate with, it's impossible to connect with anyone on a genuine level.
Being alone isn't necessarily being lonely, but it does make acquiring gainful employment difficult.
Once I figure out a way to make sufficient money to sustain it, I'm dropping out of society altogether. You guys are lunatics.
>>
>>69321
> scared to be lonely
thats what forced socialization doing with your brain
>>
It's not how we evolved to be like

The alphas of a tribe can kinda do whatever cus their word is law at the end of the day but if everyone just did whatever they wanted whenever, nothing would get done. People would be vulnerable alone.

Hey look I'm not saying I need to be with people all the time and gush about my feelings but it's nice to have someone to laugh at my jokes and tell me jokes. If you guys were truly above socialization you wouldn't be on 4chan.
>>
>>69567
it's not a coincidence that the best memories of my life all have my friends in them

socialization is part of human nature

HOW MISCHIEF

It doesn't account for all the esoteric and hidden existential threats in the world so it's destined to die out.

I'm on 4chan because I can get away with being a condescending asshole.
>>
>>68987
Nothing humans lay their hands on is perfect. Hedonism isn't bad, but it's a pretty lazy ideology that can be a bit more base and primal than others.
>>
How do you feel good by doing nothing? I have superiority complex and I simply cannot go on not thinking that Im better than someone else at something
>>
>>69681
This nigga gets it
>>
>>69681

Well, it's hard to be condescending when you don't have any accomplishments due to being a shortsighted hedonist, which I guess is one of the main arguments against hedonism.

Most people quickly get sick of base level hedonism and start following more advanced forms of it. See: all of the other ideologies

Can this meme please die already?
>>
>>68987
Pretty much everything you enjoy as an hedonist would not exist if everyone was an hedonist like you.

So it's not the perfect ideology, as it cannot be universal and actually needs other ideologies existing to sustain itself.
>>
>>69971

Yeah seriously, dopamine is OK but only serotonin will bring you true lasting happiness.
>>
>>69971
Not just for dopamine, serotonin too.

This. The only truly ideal philosophy is one that all could follow and life wouldn't turn to complete shit.

I feel like ethical egoism is the only logical choice for humans to do anything. I cant' decide what makes you happy, nor can you decide for me, so let us decide for ourselves.

The perfect ideology is not having an ideology and being able to adapt and change your beliefs and morals to better fit the situation.

From a theoretical point of view, it is. From a practical viewpoint, it rarely is sustainable. Most people enjoy a pseudo-hedonistic lifestyle anyway.

If you are still ruled by your hedonic desires, you are not truly free.

It's unsustainable and will never result in lasting peace, love and happiness.

It's the fossil fuel of philosophies.

It's trying to put the ocean in a sieve.

I thought it was obvious, it shouldn't even be classified as an ideology, it should be a factor in the internal-external scale.

I fully agree ṫbh, but the rules are the rules.

I hope /lit/ will be made Literature & Philosophy
>>
>>70146
The complexity of the human brain only serves the goal of acquiring most dopamine during one's lifespan.
>>
I've found that pursuit of pleasure is not the most effective way to maximize happiness. Who do you think has a more fulfilling life: the writer who dedicates himself to his craft or the heroin addict?

I second this opinion. /his/ is degenerating discussion that should be on /lit/.

hedonism isn't limited to cartoonish liberalism. literally anything done because it's enjoyable is hedonism.
