So the huns were basically mongols?
basically in structure, yes
basically in language and culture probably not
the similarity ends at the practicals, they rode horses were normads and had tents but they were very likely not the same groups of people
They were a part of the Turkish migration hailing form the sinking Atlantic civilization, defeating several million men strong armies using only a few thousands of soldiers themselves. As the Romans began to use dirty tricks ((Like massacring and poisoning millions of Turko-Hunnic civliians) the Turko-Hunns had to draw back to Asia, after inventing the wheel, modern agriculture as well as Democracy.
They would rise again once a few dozen Turko-Hunns (Then called Ottomans) defeated Millions of Europeans and Arabs, only getting defeated once the Orthodox neighbors massacred some ten millions of Turkic babies.
Stopped to rise to their rightful glory today by the threat of Nuclear annihilation by Russia and the USA the Turks are dreaming to rise of power, destroying the Eurocentric Christian myth that the ancient "Greeks" was Greeks and not Turko-Huns.
And don't bother trying to find sources for this, the enemies of the Turks have done all they could to hide the true history of Turkey, cleansing the Internet from any truth.

We really have no idea who the Huns were because someone destroyed the bits of Late Roman History where they were in.

They probably were part of the recently broken up Xionghue confederation of which many turkic and altaic peoples were part of.

So how come all turko-hunnic peoples in the world today are a bunch of inbred shit-fucking savages?
Huns weren't one ethnicity, they were a gigantic confederation of everything from the yellowest Chinks to Germanics. They were more like the Borg than anything else.

I thought they were Indo-iranians, like the Samatians and Scythians before them.
