Can anybody tell me whom this pendant is depicting?
>polished nails
r u a grill?
the imaginary picture of ali bin abi talib.
>>587143
Imam al-Mehdi

Where does that picture come from? Why do they always draw him the same way?
Reminds me of that Che Guevara pic 2bh.
Also, Ali is the rightful Caliph

That's king Wewuz, the first Arabic ruler. They made him white for aesthetic reasons (and because you wouldn't see him on the stone then).
Notice how the nose is erased, it's because whitey wants to hide the negroid nose that would have been the giveaway.
Ibn Bibn
I'm assuming this is the sword of Ali on the back. Seems the upload doesn't maintain the picture quality I'm curious as to what the pendant says. I don't speak a lick of Arabic. Can anyone tell if this kind of beaded necklace holds any specic meaning or purpose? Also I'm having a hard time through google figuring out what religious sect so to speak would wear this. Shi'ite perhaps? I'm not very well informed on such specifics..
L O N D O N ?
That's the famous Shiite depiction of Ali Ibn Talib. Yes, that's also his two-bladed sword in the back.
The Arabic says: "Oh, slave/servant of Allah"
It's one of the highest positions in Islam to be a slave of God.
I bartend. I guess this guy appreciated my service and he gave me this necklace before leaving and I didn't have a chance to speak to him about it. I wonder the significance a necklace like this has and the significance of being given this necklace as a gift?

You've been marked for being Merkel'd. Then again, this is a small board, so you could very well have been the Danish girl from yesterday.

>Drinking
>Gives sacred image to a random bartender
not even a religious Muslim and this triggers me
>>587209
only Shiites would wear such a necklace, Sunni Muslims would consider it heretical( they are against religious images depicting people anyways)
>>587831
I know some of the Naqshbandi Sufis also keep these sort of images
But they are mostly a Shia thing. Again though, OPs pic is of husayn, not Ali. I don't blame anyone for the confusion though, a lot of those images you find Iraqi or Iranian swap meets look alike

The headwear and beard is pretty a much a given in that part of the world
Reminder that even if Ali was the rightful Caliph, the concept of Imamate is non-existent in Islam because it the assumption that Ali chose a successor, when he was in fact martyred. Thus invalidating the chain of twelve ordained successors who were chosen on an assumption. It is also invalid because Ali was never contested the three Caliphs before him, was at their side during their rule (even named his sons after them), and received his rightful Caliphate as the fourth and last one.
>>587959
Except for the fact that Ali appointed his son Hasan to be caliph after him
>>587959
Still negates the Imamate as Hasan never appointed a successor due to the Hasan-Muawiyah Treaty in which they both agreed the Islamic world would choose one.

That's not what happened at all though. The agreement was that Hasan and Ahlul Bayt (including Hussain) would reassume the political control of the empire/caliphate at the end of Muawiyah's reign, which is why Muwaiyah killed him so he could pass it to Yazid.
Also, It was already said by both Ali and Hasan that Husayn would be the Imam. The whole reason Hussain was killed was because he attempted to assume the authority that he believed rightfully belonged to him and the Kufans had said they'd recognize him as Imam.

If I ever make it to the first world, I'll go around distributing this for no other reason than to make people confused and potentially afraid.

He did though.
Maybe it lasted only for 4 years, but it was still an interesting.
He has quotes where he calls the rich parasites, says that they are not responsible for any wealth creation.
Actually that was a big push factor for most of the wealthy Arabs at the time, and that was a reason the despot mu'awiya was gaining so much power
