Most were just american puppets.
Countries like Chile boomed in the war for the mutch needed metals which their land is rich with.
Here in Brazil it was a Populist Dictatorship with light fascist tendencies. The nearest thing that we had to fascism, Integralism, was used indirectly by Vargas to get into power and once he got it he outlawed the group.

Uruguay stayed neutral for the beginning of the conflict, witnessing the Battle of the River Plate right next to it's capital. Many Anglo-Uruguayan soldiers served in WW2, and soldiers of both sides of the conflict that either came to Uruguay after the war or were already living here before can be found resting at the British Cementery in Montevideo.
Uruguay broke ties with Nazi Germany in early 42 and would later go on to be a founding member of the UN.
