Is he right?

No, we're intelligent because we have the ability to contemplate these ideas.
>>
>>561643

YES.

IMPROVE YOUR "READING COMPREHENSION".
>>
technically yes since "rights" are not intrinsic

However, his definition of intelligence is arbitrary and seems to exist more to make an edgy "point" than to bring clarity to his arguments.

Well if "reading comprehension" is, as indicated by your use of quotations, separate from my own interpretation of reading comprehension, then depending on the definition you are implying in your post, then it may be possible that I should take your advice.

Jokes on him, the universe is uncaring and there's no such thing as inherent morality.

Morrisson was such a preacher during his Animal Man run he even admitted it.
It's still a pretty fucking good run

There aren't universal right and wrongs?

Isn't just killing something/somebody for literally no reason is universally accepted as wack?

Man, your head is haunted; you have wheels in your head! You imagine great things, and depict to yourself a whole world of gods that has an existence for you, a spirit-realm to which you suppose yourself to be called, an ideal that beckons to you. You have a fixed idea!

Something having an intrinsic right is purely a metaphysical, human concept, why not apply intrinsic value anthropocentrically then? No, he's an idiot, he points out that something is arbitrary, then follows it up by saying why you shouldn't think these things because of his own arbitrary values.
>>
>>561643
What is traditionally thought of as intelligence is in fact the capacity for learning through unintelligent action. This has evolved further into the ability to contemplate.

Having a path is an amazing experience. I feel sorry for you, because you haven't yet experienced the true oneness of the universe and everything contained within. You're a bitter, uninspired cunt that just sits in a bleak world refusing to believe that your world isn't the most amazing one there is.

>Values are arbitrary
>Except for mine; I'm right
>>
>>562288
The world is amazing, and part of why it's amazing is because there is no plan behind it. Everything just is, and we are products of the chaos that is the universe.

Things are patterned. There is nothing new, only different. You're already dead.

The patterns can't be perfectly predicted. Everything is new, but not entirely different. You were dead until you weren't.

What are you talking about? People can easily read the future. Honestly, that's the entire purpose of critical thinking. People have the power to think ahead. It's like drilling a path towards a desired result with no regard to the consequences of losing.

I was partially going for the opposite of what you wrote, but I do agree with it, is any prediction of the future more than a highly uncertain approximation, is the currently moving state of 'time' ever the same as it was in the past, yet develops from the past, and while you exist now you didn't previously, yet the previous conditions lead to your existence.

Perhaps it's not what people expected reading the future to be, but being as prepared as you can be for something is essentially reading into probability of cause and effect. Time itself has proven too simple a notion to contain the vastness of realistic infrastructure. Time as a vague and stigmatic symbolism for what existence actually has turned out to be is far from within any comprehensible distance to the truth and magnificence of the situation.

Why should "fiction" get special treatment? All the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players. The Supreme Scriptwriter is a bored cosmic sadist who has our characters take part in tragedies and dilemmas just to make our stories a little more interesting.
