Japan is literally the Germany of Asia.
They used to have a weak goverment and many daymios fighting each other, but have finally united and created a great power, just as Holy Roman Empire. They focused on rapid industrialization and militarization, just as Kaiserreich. Japan started a long period of successful wars, creating a giant but short-lasting empire, same as III Reich. They were finally defeated and transformed into a democracy, ending with military domination and concentrating on economy and soft power, just as Germany after WW2. Finally, they are now a rich country, but their economy is not developing anymore.

THe only exception is that when a German is confronted with the war crimes of ww2, they go "Yeah, we know, we're sorry" whereas a japanese goes "TENNOHEIKO BANZAI!" and blows himself up
>>

war crimes are a social construct

>Japan is literally the Germany of Asia.
No they're not. They do not admit war crimes for one thing.

Also Japan got its shit early in the 1600's while Germaniggers are still divided *today.*

Daymios were strong untill 19th century, although not as strong as before Oda Nobunaga
>>
>>545355
Japan still managed to reunify early in its history while Germans can't.

They are kind of unified now

Both got rekt like little bitches

Germany is run by a mad -woman- flooding the country with refugees and people who may or may not be refugees (economic migrants, terrorists). Whereas Japan just has an issue with pedo art and basically has a nationalist president.

they saw what happened to Germany and they don't want it to happen to japan

This isn't a mistake.

In framing the Meiji state, Japan modeled itself quite a lot on Germany. They borrowed some stuff from Britain (Cabinet government, upper and lower house parliament) but they gutted them to make way for Prussian style limited franchise and military role in governance.

Its no mistake there are similarities. But post-war they took a completely different direction and role from Germany in Europe.

Well duh, what state do you think the Japs modeled themselves after during the restoration?

hint:It was Prussia
>>
Communist China is more like Imperial Germany if we look at just the past few hundred years. A history of being a battleground for other countries' disputes (Thirty Years War, Napoleonic Wars, Russo-Japanese War, etc.), long periods of disunity and a rapid unification due to the defeat of a foreign power. Although they instituted welfare programs and had a vibrant industrialized economy, democracy was never a thing in the German Empire, and they justified it by saying it didn't fit with the German national character. Sound familiar?

Imperial Germany was also massively butthurt towards the UK in the same way that China is towards the US.

This map is retarded why does it show Vichy France and Poland at the same time?
>>
>>545324
As others have pointed out, they deliberately patterned themselves on Prussia. The results were sometimes fucking retarded - they even adapted the Salic law of agnatic primogeniture for their model of succession, which a few years ago led to a crisis that almost ended the dynasty that has ruled for 2500 years.

Also, you might want to compare Japan and Germany to Ataturk's Turkey. You'll find more similarities, even if Turkey hasn't had its empire phase yet (they deliberately downgraded from one, so it figures).
