Let's say a "time travel" machine is invented. We figure out how to travel through time and space, but instead of the way it's normally portrayed in fiction it teleports you into a parallel reality that is an exact copy of Earth at any time period you wish, where history plays out exactly as it actually did back then. This way there's no chance of you fucking up the world by doing anything.
You can understand any languages spoken. You have the ability to talk to people normally and walk around, or you can become invisible and completely silent, and sneak into the Roman Emperor's palace or into Hitler's bunker, anywhere you want. You have the ability to travel around the world at incredible speeds to visit the other side of the world a few hours after you land in one part of the world.
What would you do? Where would you go, and who would you talk to?
If I only had one travel opportunity, I would spend a couple decades observing the Gallic Wars and Roman society before and afterwards. Since I could travel ultra-fast, I'd make sure to spend some time hitting all the major cultures of the period, like Illyria, Greece, Dacia, Parthian-occupied Persia, and the Sarmatians and the Scandinavian tribes.
I'd read voraciously in the Library of Alexandria, sneak into the aristocratic villas and palaces of Rome, and tour Chang'an. I'd have fun running around with some bumfuck backwater steppe tribe out in the Altai Mountains, and maybe even stop over to the Eastern US to see how my Eastern Woodlands Indian bros are doing.
