Why wasn'y European colonialism as successful in Africa or Asia as it was in the Americas and Australia?
>>484650
They liked to treat people there worse, and didn't send as many colonists, just kinda showed up and went "Yeah, this is ours."
Also the people there for the most part were still aligned with their countries, not having a separate identity, unifying them. Some did, like south Africa.
Also this is a little /pol/, but native Americans in North America were pretty based and wise, not as retarded as other natives.

Are you not aware of the shithole that is South America?

Upperlated Boast

Simple difference of resource extraction w/mostly unskilled, indigenous labor vs having to develop an actual diversified economy w/ a mix of skilled/unskilled immigrant labor

Lots more shitty diseases (Africa) and advanced societies with tolerance to european diseases (asia)

Everything here except for
>native Americans in North America were pretty based and wise, not as retarded as other natives.
It also depends on how you define "successful" OP. I assume in this case "Success" means that the European colonizers completely subsumed the native cultures and power structures, which was a lot easier to do in America/Australia considering the different goals and methods used.
>Americas
>Sparsely populated
>Climate piss easy for old-worlders to live in
>Colonizers set out to actually live on the continent, not just assume power there and extract resources/plant garrisons.

Here ya go OP
Basically, lots of factors like resources available, climate, diseases, controlled what institutions were developed.

Why are they wearing fezes?
>>484946
Because the original picture was 'a civil discussion between caucasian kingdoms' or something
Africa had way too many diseases, and Asia had civilization. America was really backwards, and Spaniards and Portuguese had a good integration policy, which Anglos and other European countries didn't have.

Should edit it more. But I'm a tard.
Also cause /lit/ and /pol/ are kebab and we need to remove kebab
African diseases are to white people as European diseases are to red people.
