Do you know any historical moments where the bad guy won? Most of the times dictators etc. seem to be killed off eventually. Only ones I remember dying from old age while still being in power is Franco and Stalin.
Pretty much always
define good and bad
A lot of times there just wasn't really a good guy. Like WW1, the Russian Revolution, pretty much every Chinese civil war, the recent and current conflicts on the Middle East.

good -> stable civilized society without genocides, random murder, torture and a minimum of suffering
bad -> suffering

There's no such thing as good or bad guys. Everyone does what they think is good. Just because an event is bad to one group doesn't make it bad for every group.

I'd say there was never a good guy. Even WW2 which is held up as a "good" war, can you really say the allied leadership were "good"? Everything they did was purely out of self-interest and had nothing to do with the ideals they espoused publicly such as saving small countries/peoples from bigger bullies. Argurably every single war the US got involved in since WW2 has been to prop up the military industrial complex and expand coporate power. Even before WW2 the USMC was considered a private army for all its interventions in Latin America to aid US business interests.
Can we really say there is, or ever was a good guy?

They don't exist in history. We don't make moral judgements regarding the past.
