I've always wanted to make a series about the Punic Wars. Only problem I can see would be budget and timeframe. It would require at least 7 seasons, I would think: 3 for the First, 3 for the Second, and 1 for the Third.

A few questions, why did Vorenus place such highness of his predecessors fighting at Magnesia and Zama? Surely by that time it must have been quite common. no it was a very expensive show which was partly funded by the BBC. the BBC pulled out leading to the show being cancelled. at some point the set burned down which was insanely expensive killing any chance of the show being brought back. HBO did indeed wish to bring it back after they realised just how popular the show was and how well the DVDs were selling but rebuilding a set like that was just too much
