I think that if you lived in an anime, which usually feature moral absolutes, seeing the complexities and subtleties of the real world, along with the horrors of real war, murder, starvation, disease for no real underlying reason or ultimate thesis would be absolutely tragic and world shattering. I think that an anime character would be profoundly disturbed by us.
