Korean war
Sino-Indian war
>>445038
Latter parts of WW2 they tore the hell out of the Japanese in certain areas.
Didnt Brits kill hundreds of thousands of Chinese with 2000 soldiers during the Opium War?
>>445058
>Korean war
assisting hardly counts
>Sino-Indian war
Wow amazing. Defeating 10,000 soldiers with 80,000
>>445038
Can we have a thread of nothing but images like this?
>>445073
>assisting hardly counts
More than half the war was fought by China
>>445069
yeah the Manchurians thought guns were stupid so they hardly used them. Militarily China was weaker in the 1800s than in the 1400s kek
>>445068
It was only because of pic related at places like Changsha, Chinese officers were generally garbage. I always like to say, the only saving grace of the Chinese Army in WWII was that they were facing the Japanese who could also be mindbogglingly incompetent.

sure senpai

Taierzhuang, Hundred Regiments, Burma campaign, etc.
>>445079
They still didn't rektd the UN forces though, the Chinese had massive loses.
>>445201
I never knew the Chinese were capable of defeating the Russians by the 1600s with roughly the same number of men. Interesting

>Taierzhuang
That was after a ton of Chinese defeats by the Japanese.
>Hundred Regiments
Bunch of poorly armed Communist guerillas launch attacks. Nothing truly notable, although to be fair CCP infantry tactics were the best out of any East Asian military force, including the Japanese.
>Burma Campaign
Mostly prosecuted by British forces.
Suffice it to say that the KMT's army just wasn't that good due to horrendous leadership. It's not exactly a reflection on the men, as many of the KMT veterans went on to fight the Americans to a stalemate in Korea, but 1930's China was just not a good environment for building up a strong officer corps.

Wait what? Nigga what? Sun Liren is British now? He beat the Japanese outnumbered 10 to 1
>>445083
>the Manchurians thought guns were stupid so they hardly used them
Was it literally because of 'muh tradition' or were they afraid of the equalizing power guns had displayed in the West? Or were they just stupid?
>>445266
It was because the Machurians were nomadic steppe people similar to the Mongols. They were familiar with with Calvary but were unfamiliar with guns which the Chinese had, so they didn't use them. Fear of change I guess
>>445266
They were semi-nomadic people who thought bows were literally superior. The name 'Manchu', which is a western translation of Manju means 'arrow' in the Manchu language.
