What do you guys think happened in the Fuhrerbunker during the ending months of the war in Europe?
Lots of meth, booze, and suicide.

hitler killed himself

>Lots of meth, booze, and suicide.
and probably a bunch of crying because the fuhrer abandoned his country to go to argentina
>>443448
Its a bit hard to shoot yourself in the head after taking a fast acting poison m80.
>>443343
Basically what happened in the film, it's pretty accurate as far as I know. A lot of stress, a lot of drama, a lot of last-ditch attempts, a lot of attempts to bail out by high officers/politicians, generally a lot of bureaucratic and political chaos which ended in contradictory and pointless orders to the armed forces.
A sinking ship, basically.
>>443462
That movie was depressing as fuck btw. Throw in the fact that the secretary was raped IRL.
>>443343
Only the Sky and the Earth are know this.
>>443343
I just want them to start unearthing the Fuhrerbunker. It's a parking lot now, but the bunker itself is still there. The Soviets made some attempts to blow it up, but AFAIK they never completely succeeded.
>>443473
Too melodramatic. The Bunker was a better film.
>>443473
by who?
>>443484
Isn't it basically where the Holocaustdenkmal is?
>>443490
Take a bloody guess
>>443495
It's close. According to Wikipedia, only sections of the bunker remain intact.
>>443456
He bit and shot simultaneously. Fast acting, sure, but he had time to bite and pull the trigger. Himmler had the same type of pill and it took him 15 minutes to die.
>>443343
Bitches ridin' on that Fuhrercocken.
>>443525
I'm suggesting the very common suggestion that this "double suicide" is a mythologisation to maintain some kind of potency behind the "hitler" myth.
>>443456
identify where he said "shoot"
>>443567
There's a point at which everyone is well read enough to get the common "jokes," such as Hitler's amazing suicidal capacities. Obviously everyone is not well read enough.
>>443574
I still find it amazing that even after 4 years in the trenches, the putsch, 6 years of war, numerous assassination attempts, and constant sickness and stress, the only person who could kill Hitler was Hitler himself.
>>443612
>the only person who could kill Hitler was Hitler himself.
And Stalin died in his sleep…
>>443634
I believe he was awake, wasn't he found on the floor? Anyway, he had instructed his guards not to bother him, and because he was inclined to punish his servants severely for minor mishaps, they only dared to enter his chamber after he hadn't been seen for hours.
If someone had found him earlier, he might have lived.
>>443343
Lots of people pretending Hitler was north of the equator. Maybe some believed it too.

The Russians have his jaw bone. They captured his personal dentist, Dr. Hugo Johannes Blaschke, and had him confirm. Case closed.
Yeah I know they have a skull that belongs to a woman but it's not like they could have verified it at the time.
And, before you go, WELL HOW THE HELL COULD HE HAVE DONE IT BY MEMORY, Hitler hated dental work and, if memory serves, didn't do anesthesia. A very unique and complex bridge had to be created to repair an infected tooth and surrounding gums to fix the problem once and for all.
Blaschke then served years in a Russian prison; he never recanted his story, even after returning to private life and resuming a dentistry practice in American territory.
This is the guy that also remembered the dental work of Bormann, drew it from memory alone, and his drawings were used to help establish the identity of Bormann's remains in 1972.
If that weren't enough you have the personal testimonies of the witnesses (not of the actual suicide but of the aftermath) Traudl Junge (personal secretary), Rochus Misch (bodyguard), Magda Goebbels to Helmut Kunz (the guy who assisted her in killing her children), and Hans Krebs (upon meeting Chuikov) just to name a few.
I want to believe he made it out but, he didn't.
read the last days of hitler by hugh trevor roper, it's basically the official british report into what happened to wolfie plus trevor-roper musing on it.
he ded tho

This is a good book albeit outdated. Trevor-Roper was hired by British counter-intelligence to get to the bottom of Hitler's death.
Too bad ol' Hugh had to sully his name later on by saying the Hitler Diaries were authentic.
