the fact that the germans declared war against russia and france is a formality, war would have been declared by someone shortly after. but the germans needed the time advantage to pull the schlieffen-plan off, so they just were the first to declare what was inevitable.

Britain is an island, Russia is a shithole, America is on the other side of the world; all of those places are easy to defend because they're ridiculously hard to attack.
