>VII. Farther-Spain 20 fell to his lot as quaestor; when there, as he was going the circuit of the province, by commission from the praetor, for the administration of justice, and had reached Gades, seeing a statue of Alexander the Great in the temple of Hercules, he sighed deeply, as if weary of his sluggish life, for having performed no memorable actions at an age 21 at which Alexander had already conquered the world.

What spurred the change? He was 25 in 1914. He was the definition of a degenerate prior, and throughout the war showed asocial behavior. If was such a good orator, why wasn't he given leadership privileges? His regiment was constantly undermanned yet he gets passed over promotion. Was it meth?

>why wasn't he given leadership privileges?
He was a foreigner in the army. He was in the german army but was still austrian.

it'd be much better if you pointed out how he was originally destined to be the Flamen Dialis which would've exempted him from any sort of political or military career

Ok I can live with that excuse. Some sources mention that him being from a different region caused problems. But still, until the end of WW1 he was reported to be aloof and a loner. Notice the body language in all his military photos. Always facing away from the group. Yet someone how this guy is gonna be Fuhrer.

Many of China's founding Emperors
Here's 2.
>Qin Dynasty.
Provided that Prince Yinzheng inherited the throne, his position was super threatened. He was timid and shy, his dad is a literal cuck, his mom slept with a lot of dudes and her current favorite, a duke with a large penis, is her plan to replace him on the throne.

Yinzheng however manned up following the death of his dad after the sheer realization that he was super fucked if he didn't stop being a weepy emolord. He subsequently imprisoned his mum and had the big dick duke torn to four pieces. Went on to unite China.
>Han Dynasty.
Founded by Liu Bang. Poorfaggot jailer turned bandit chief who had zero prospects in life. Remained so until he joined the Anti-Qin rebellion in the army of the much younger, much stronger, much famous, much handsomer Xiang Yu, the famed Warrior Prince. Became top general in Yu's army.

Liu Bang saw that Xiang Yu and his fellow rebel lords pretty much wanted to divide the kingdom back into old pre-unification China. Liu Bang thought that the Qin Dynasty sucked but the Unity was great. So he launched a war against Xiang Yu. Despite shitloads of military defeats, Liu outpoliticked his erstwhile friend and managed to rally enough support and crush him at Gaixia. Liu Bang became emperor of China at the old age of 54.

according to what i've read his superiors didn't promote because "he lacked leadership skills"

also, he wasn't such a good or charismatic leader as most people say (but he still was one - but nowhere closer to let's say napoleon for example) but he happened to be the right guy in the right place since germany was completely in ruins and this guy said he would perform a miracle and bring back the german empire to his former grandeur - so as someone in this board once wrote "they democratically elected hitler to destroy democracy"

but he wasn't the genius many claimed he was - neither in the political or military fields (ideologically it's subjective) but he had great people doing an excelent job promoting him and his ideals through all kinds of propaganda

a lot of political leaders were nobodies or even failures in their first time around, then got their shit together and scored. Churchill comes to mind, also Mussolini. Napoleon is somewhat of a weird example since, despite coming from nothing, his rise was for the most part linear without any interim failure.

>Hitler this Hitler that
Stop that.

I feel a big part of the reason why his private life was so secret was due to what an autist he was. Like you were able to put him on stage and have him a do an event, but afterwards it's all awkward the "glorious leader needs to take care of himself with some rest". In person he must of been very unimpressive.

No. He was a minor noble, the nephew(or son?) of Hajji Barlas who was kind of a big deal in that part of Mawarannar

Note that he strongly admired Mannerheim, but the feeling was apparently far from mutual (privately).
