Hi people. I have a question. What do you think about this case?
Romanov family. The legend of Anastasia.
I know that she's dead, but... What do you think? The legend is true or false?
The whole family got shot by mosins multiple times. All very dead.
She is kill but one of their dogs survived
>the monsters who did this were never punished
Is there truly no justice?

They got to live through the Russian revolution and it's aftermath. Or were shortly killed by it. That seems like a reasonable punishment.

Pretty sure they confirmed all their deaths by DNA analysis now.

If you don't read much about life in USSR, then sure.

Any links to good descriptions?

life in communist eastern europe was not particularly horrible in the latter half of the USSR's existence, if posters in /his/ who lived through it are to be trusted.
>i know she's dead
>What do you think? The legend is true or false?
You... kind of answered your own question there, buddy.

>tfw the dog who lived was named Joy
>What had little Joy seen on that terrible night of July 16? He had been with the Imperial Family to the last. Had he witnessed the tragedy? His brain had evidently kept the memory of a great shock, and his heart was broken. It was pathetic seeing this dumb friend, who brought back the memory of the Tsarvich so vividly. Little Joy was well cared for. He was taken to England by Colonel Rodzianko and spent the last years in the utmost canine comfort, but still never recovered his spirits.

I didn't but my parents did along with every old and middle-aged person here (I'm from Hungary). It was not that horrible at all. I still don't like it as I hate everything that freezes progress and doesn't let people fulfill their potential etc etc. But from the 70's it wasn't that bad. Life was safe. There was no crime and everyone had a job. Pointless jobs were created artificially to keep employment rates around 100% ( I think that this, and the fact that no matter how you worked nothing improved are the main contributors towards the dismal work ethics of the region) and no one really had to starve. The quality of life was not very high, but you could still live a happy, though humble life. For a shit load of people in Hungary life became incomparably worse since the changing of the system, and my firm conviction is that older people think of the late socialist era with nostalgia, even though they claim to hate it. And Viktor Orbán is pretty much bringing it back for them without the superficial Soviet/Russian elements they hated.
