Being serious now though, the current state of Africa is partially on western powers trying to "uplift" the African continent the rest is on them just giving up halfway through because of WW2 and the increasing cost of colonization versus the diminishing profit.
I know Rhodesia is pretty much meme tier at this point, but they had the proper idea of how to run a post colonial african nation, South Africa was almost there as well, but apartheid can only work if both sides are treated the same way, which never happened.
Too bad the zimbabweans got stuck with Mugabe. Specially bad for the whites and the ndebele people.
