The real memes here are Sobieski and Wojtyła, both were actually very mediocre and both are revered for no reason. If you want to find more relevant Poles, try Kościuszko, Łukasiewicz, Poniatowski, Zammenhof, Pilecki, Waryński. And Piłsudski of course.
