So /his/ I have recently come across what I believe to be a personal photobook that dates back to the 1930's. I also have a scanner. I think this is his related enough to warrant a photo dump.
The thing is literally falling to pieces.
There's also writing on it, but I can't really read it.
Here's a postcard.
And the back of it.
More postcards
So, is anybody lurking?

I am, great stuff, OP

Thank you very much, anon.
I think I'll ditch the black paper for a while, makes things a bit easier to scan.

This paper was saved in this book. It amazes me that someone first wrote in it over 80 years ago. I wonder what it was for?

Where did you find this?
>>401936
I found it at my local Savers.
>>401946
Nice, how much was it?
>>401953
I stole it. It was in the donations bin, and I didn't want to go through all the extra bullshit of going to the counter and asking them to price it and such. I didn't have a lot of time that day.
I'm not going to lie, the man looks like a G.

this MEANS something!
Looks like he took a trip the the Hoover Dam, which manes sense because I found this photo book in a thrift shop in Arizona. He probably lived here in Phoenix until he died.

It wasn't even fully built yet.
Anyways, that's everything. I think I'm going to donate it to a museum or something. I don't collect these type of things so I don't have any need for it.

Nice find. Thanks for posting.
Oh yeah, most of the photos had this on the back. I'm amazed Bartell has been in business this long.
August 4, 1934.

Welcome, anon. I'll be sure to upload more thing here if I find anything. I like to go thrift shop hunting a lot, usually for clothes and records though.
Neat OP. At first I thought they were Great Depression era towns, but it looks like whoever owned this lived far North in undeveloped areas.

Don't do that in the future
>>402497
Why?
I also have the unedited bmp files if you're interested.
>>402497
Well anyways, here you go.

good thread, OP
>>402136
Unless it has some historical significance (pictures mostly of a specific small town, pictures showing something before it was destroyed or altered, someone famous, etc) most museums would politely decline your donation of a random photobook.
>>402136
If no museums will accept it feel free to donate it to Anon's Personal Museum :^)

Is that dog dead?

unfinished hoover dam might qualify?
anyhow, a local historian or academic field might want it for their archive as a secondary source for primary research. or not. but worth a shot if the museum angle doesn't pan out
/p/ here, cool find OP, thx 4 sharing
