1. HOW DOES THAT STATEMENT ANSWER THE "ORIGINAL POSTER'S" QUESTION?
2. "THE FOOD CHAIN" IS A SPURIOUS CONCEPT; THERE IS NO ACTUAL "FOOD CHAIN".
As a man, your only instinct is to fuck and kill. Everything else is pseudoscience drivel.

No, instincts are behavioral dispositions, emotions cannot be described in the terminology of behaviorism.

Some, fear of snakes and spiders seems to be instinctual, IIRC this was even found in a monkey species where captive born infants showed a fear response to snake and eagle type silhouettes

No because if they were, women would be better hunters than men.

Many are, many aren't.
It's stupid to boil things into purely caused by nature or purely caused by nurture.
No. The two are related, but not the same.
Instinct = desire for basic survival and reproductive needs. Food, water, avoiding danger, lust etc.
Emotions = more complicated innate feelings, usually related to social interactions with other humans. Anger, jealousy, joy, love, grief etc.
Sentiment = persisting emotions towards a particular topic, less ephemeral than instinct or emotions. Pacifism, racism, misogyny, humanism, conservatism etc.
