The pyramids were originally built on mars by an ancient civilization. They created those pyramids because they destroyed their planet, as the people of planet mostly had a male persona and held science over compassion, which caused them to destroy their planet through technology. Anyway, the pyramids they created were a way to transport to the next habitable planet, which was earth.
At the time earth mostly had people with a female persona, meaning they were more compassionate than the martian people. The earth people didn't really care much for the technology and the aggression brought by the new martians so they kicked them out and gave them their own part of the earth. The martians tried to make another planet hopping device in egypt, but the earth people prevented them from activating it because they feared it would destroy the planet, like what happened to mars.

Also, the Egyptian farming cycle had a period in between seasons where there was a shitload of excess labor with nothing to do.
The pharaohs would just send ferries up and down the Nile, pick up all of the peasants that had nothing to do, and put them under the command of full-time contractors.

It's possible that it was to demonstrate the power of the pharaohs, either to the citizens or to the neighboring powers. Building those monuments required an enormous amount of manpower, to not only build the pyramids themselves but to transport and carve the stone blocks too. Providing food alone for the labourers would have been extremely resource extensive.

Anyone can make a doghouse but what works for a 1-1/2 feet structure usually cannot be scaled even by a factor of 100. It's a scaling engineering problem. A pyramid is the only big thing you can build without knowing how to build. The reason is that when you double a solid the mass goes up by a factor of 8 and the strength in simple materials like wood has to do with the area ,its like with our muscles, that's why gymnast are small they are small cause they can have relative large muscles they have short muscles arms and they weigh a bit less.
