I always get a good laugh from this image because somewhere out in the world there was probably people sitting in holes that hadn't eaten in five days waiting to get killed by artillery.
I actually have one, but cant find it since i saw it in a schoolbook many years ago.
Its a soviet solider with a rifle looking at the palace of the last tsar of Russia. It was a painting i think was called "the inevitable."
