Syndicalism.

Apart from the IIeme Internationale betrayals of Syndicalism in Hungary, Italy and France, and the betrayal of the "anarcho-syndicalist" elite of the CNT in Spain?

About as sordid a fucking history as bolshevism, except for murdering comrades for political reasons to support a teetering capitalist state.

Oh wait, the POUM.
>>
As with most political ideas put into practice, a lust for absolute power and the murder of innocent people.

Read up on the Hungarian Revolution of 1919. Most of the social democratic party's ultras were factory syndicalists. Italian trade unionism and French trade unionism was organised by syndicalists.

There's far too much data on the Spanish revolution, but I'd suggest paying more attention to everything BEFORE 1935 for the history of syndicalism.

For syndicalism elsewhere there's Dubofsky's IWW and Bergman's Australian IWW, as well as Ian Turner's Sydney's Burning.

The Spanish ones sold out the revolution to the republican government and sent the workers off the barricades and back into the factories.

Never forget, never surrender. Remember Gardenyes!

Idealism. You can't force Anarchism in a global capitalist stage.
>>
>>357603
Stalinism, honestly.

Revolutionary trade-unionism in the USA always has devolved into useless, destructive anarchism (destruction and murder) or petty, corrupt industrial unionism (lust for more and more power).

Probably lots of reasons, one being the political success of unions in the US as compared to other parts of the world. The revolution becomes more abstract as concrete goals become realized.

its fucking dumb

Pistols are for officers. Get a fucking rifle comrade.

ugh that tape why

Lads if you think the CNT betrayed the revolution you aren't being realistic, they did what they did to get an overall better chance of beating the fascists and to keep Lister's tanks away from the workers. Of course, you can always say "oh they lost the war anyway so who cares" but hindsight is always 20/20, and when you take into account the actual situation then there weren't really any other options.

Did the CNT leadership's actions advance class power? No, no they didn't. Fuck off bourgeois apologist class traitor.
>>
>>357878
>republic wins the war
>CNT has relative freedom to continue in its activities
>keeps getting bigger, and especially with the memory of the revolution, more people are being radicalised and to a greater extent
or
>tons more people die in the Barcelona May Days
>constant and greater conflict between the republic factions
>more people are killed and more collectives are violently broken up
>fascists win and at that point we all know what happens to the CNT
Which would you choose? Which is better for the working class?
>>
>>357893
Neither. But supporting the republic is supporting the boss class.
>>
>>357922
Entering into a temporary alliance for military reasons isn't the same thing as support. Do you think Makhno supported the Bolsheviks?
>>
>>357603
Bolsheviks pre WW2. Improvement of life condition after WW2.
>>
>>357603
Marxism and all its spin-offs are unsustainable fantasies.
>>
>>357622
>anarcho-syndicalist" elite of the CNT
nobody liked the CNT senpai, even during the republic they launched general strikes in 1933 in an attempt to fuck its shit up and it failed. it forced the socialists in government to take more radical positions which spooked the right wing into mobilizing
