He showed the world the problems of colonialism and the inherent problem of racism that was rampant in the west. Hitler's extreme polarity directly led to things like equality and shit. Before Hitler, racism were the norm, but there were moderates who didn't press too much into it and minority who believed racism to be a morally wrong choice for a society. Now the stance have shifted to the opposite in today's age.
I can see similar pattern emerging in Today's world too with the Islamic faith. The Islamic intolerance is the norm, but there are moderates. With the rise of extremism, people will see and begin to throw away Islam because they will see that its morally wrong for a society to adopt such a view of life.
