Rome provided a unified, centralized structure where ideas from as far east as Palestine could reach as far away as modern-day Scotland. All roads lead to Rome. Don't even get me started on how Rome's incredible reliance on slavery was what primarily made it such a popular choice. And lets not forget Constantine and the fact that it became the state religion, resulting in all of Europe being Christianized within a few centuries.

Not doubt it becoming the state religion made it explode, it was only like 10% of the population before then, but to say it wouldn't leave the Levant without Rome is ridiculous. What does Rome have to do with the Christians who traveled to Greece?

Christianity was a martyr-based religion during the Roman days, similar to Islam modern dat. If anything those things actually converted more people to Christianity, and made those already Christian even more zealous.
There are many accounts of people converting to Christianity because of how quickly and without hesitation the Christians would choose death over renouncing their faith.
