How do the assblasted anglos who deny the sanctity and purity of the maid rationalize this?
Wasn't advantage in the Hundred Years War usually held by whoever had the backing of the Duke of Burgundy?

The Dukes of Burgundy were important players in the war from 1415 to 1436, yes. Once they deserted the English camp for good, a French victory was pretty much inevitable.

yes
>people using "France" and "England" to define factions
It was a civil war between two French houses (Valois and Plantagenet)
The Plantagenets simply happened to own England
It's kinda like if during the US civil war, the CSA owned Mexico and moved their capital city there so it isnt threatned by the enemy

That may be technically true, but in practice it was a war between Frenchmen and Englishmen and that's what everybody saw it as. In the 1420s, the Duke of Bedford had to issue an ordinance to his soldiers to stop referring to the enemy as "the French". The reason for this being that the Plantagenets were supposed to be the rightful kings of France and were occupying considerable territory in France that naturally included Frenchmen at the time. But the implication is that the everyman saw it as a war between the French and English races and not a contest for power between two noble houses.

Kinda yes.
>tfw Burgundy will never exist

The reason it's characterized as a France v England conflict is because after losing the 100 years war English identity became a fully fledged thing.
Prior to that the British isles were just a mess of Celts and Saxons getting oppressed by French people, but in a fit of pure anal-devastation the French dynasties in England started to go native.

I was under the impression that "english" identity began emerging during the reign of Edward III, and was deliberately encouraged in order to boost support for his wars
although its not a period I know much about
Didn't they burn Joan based on some Old testament statute that wasn't even enforced?
Why weren't they crusaded?
